Violin Faculty
Angela Fiedler
Angela Fiedler is very enthusiastic about cultivating a new love of music in young musicians! While fundamentals are important, she believes that encouraging students with positivity can help them grow their love for music, and uses a unique approach for each student to suit their individual needs. Angela’s goal is to is to challenge students with new repertoire while keeping goals within their reach to achieve success.
Angela holds a Bachelor’s Degree in violin performance from SUNY Purchase and a master’s degree from Lynn Conservatory where she studied with full scholarship. An active performer, she was a full-time member of the Palm Beach Symphony and Florida Grand Opera in South Florida, and now regularly performs with local groups in the Hudson Valley.
Angela enjoys sharing the knowledge and tips she’s learned along the way with her students in their lessons, whether it be for general growth or audition preparation. Her students accomplishments include performing at local competitions and winning an audition for Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, FL. She has also helped students prepare for seating auditions, orchestra auditions, and summer festival auditions. Her experience has ranged from young beginners, advanced high school, and adult students. She has also mentored young musicians through Nat King Cole Generation Hope, founded by Nat King Cole’s daughters, and worked closely in classrooms with young orchestras. Angela is very excited to be a part of the Chappaqua music community and be a part of you or your child’s musical journey!
